Email from Prime Minister's Wife

I just received an email from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, wife of honourable Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada! I am honored.

Part of the email reads "................Shahin, after a successful G7 Summit in Japan and an incredible Liberal Biennial convention in Winnipeg, Justin came home energized this past weekend.

Liberals are coming out of our biennial convention with wind in our sails. A new constitution. A more open Liberal Party that has opened its doors wide to Canadians. And Shahin, you are the heart of our movement. I can't thank you enough.............."

The Lost Techniques of Osteopathy

The Lost Techniques of Osteopathy

Did you know we are the only manual osteopathic school teaching the manual mechanotherapy techniques of H. R. Spitler, MD, DC, DO, PhD?

Dr Spitler was a medical doctor, chiropractor, osteopath and optometrist in Ohio, USA who invented a model of osteopathy techniques about a hundred years ago that dealt with soft tissue as well as osseous manual therapy.

As his techniques focused mainly on orthopedic conditions of musculoskeletal system, he fell out of favor with the osteopathy leadership of the time and his techniques were not taught in most osteopathic schools.

Manual mechanotherapy is now mainly practiced in Ohio by a group of practitioners calling themselves mechanotherpists. The techniques are considered the lost techniques of osteopathy.
Dr. Daniel Nuzum, NMD, DO (from Ohio, USA) has done six lectures on this technique which is now available for our registered students to watch at our video server.

I love my staff!

I wish to thank you, our administrative staff for doing such a superb job managing the work. Without you we could not have become the largest provider of manual osteopathic education in the world.
You are the best!

I have cancelled my mobile many years ago

I have cancelled my mobile many years ago and teach my students not to own a mobile phone. Aside from health risk it takes away something very important and that is your attention which you need if you wish to become successful.
Here is a research proving what I have been saying for years:

Foreigner’s Guide to Working in USA as Manual Osteopaths

Our three schools (National University of Medical Sciences (USA), National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) & National Academy of Osteopathy) teach manual osteopathy in 68 countries. Many of our non-American graduates wish to work in the states. America needs many osteopathic manual practitioners.

Best is to get advice from a lawyer or immigration consultant on how to emigrate to US. Here is a simplified short guide on steps necessary to work in the states for those who are not US residents (If you are Canadian, the process becomes easier due to North American Free Trade Agreement – NAFTA).

1-      You cannot call yourself an osteopath in the US as the title is restricted to osteopathic physicians who basically have the same license as a medical doctor, and can prescribe medications and perform surgery.
2-      You can work as an osteopathic manual practitioner in all states.
3-      You should obtain malpractice insurance in the states (costs between $200 to $300 per year in most states).
4-      You MUST secure a job offer from a medical, rehab, osteopathy or physiotherapy clinic (you will not be issued a work visa without a secured job offer).
5-      Your employer must place an ad in the local newspaper or media, looking for an osteopathic manual practitioner for 2 months.
6-      If your employer does not find an American osteopathic manual practitioner, then she can start the process of sponsoring you.
7-      You have to apply for a work permit to US Immigration Office.
8-      Once you obtain a work permit you can travel to the state and start working there.
9-      Work permits are generally for one to two years.
10-   The process is time consuming and employers generally require a commitment by you to work at least a year or more in their clinics.
11-   You cannot open your own clinic in the sates on a work visa. Once you obtain a US Greencard (permanent residency card), then you can open your own private manual osteopathic clinic.
12-   There is no private insurance available for manual osteopathy in the states. Patients pay on cash basis (anywhere from $60 to $120 per hour).
13-   Employers must pay you a salary. Pure commission based positions are not accepted for work visa. However once you obtain a US Greencard, you can work on commission basis in the states.
14- Your potential employer must have filled at least one business annual income tax return (this means the newly established clinics will have a hard time getting you a work visa. Preferably the clinic that is planning to employ you should have been working at least for a year). The Immigration department will ask for a copy of annual business tax return statement.

Please remember that you must always follow the laws and rules of the state you practice in. I do hope you have found this article helpful. Have a wonderful day and if I can be of any assistance to you my dear colleague, feel free to email me or contact me on my personal Facebook page.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Applause after my lecture!

Yesterday, I lectured about how to use self-hypnosis to improve yourself. I received applause after the lectures. Apparently my students liked this lecture a lot! I love my students and their happiness makes my day.

The techniques I showed students are what I used personally to change my lifestyle. I made myself dislike unhealthy food, and made myself (using self-hypnosis) to love healthy food. This technique is extremely quick yet powerful way of changing yourself for the better.

Self-hypnosis is so powerful that now I truly feel disgusted by watching people eating meat! Before when I saw a steak I would focus on the grilled mark and how delicious it looked. Now through the power of self suggestion, I see the red juice and the pink color reminding me of blood and how the animal was killed. This destroys any craving I may have for beef.

In over 2 weeks I lost 7.5KG (16.5 lbs) without dieting, by just eliminating meat, sugar, salt and fat from my diet and replacing them with super delicious veggies (specially root vegetables like beet and celery root), seafood, beans, fruits, berries & dairy products.

The energy I feel now is insane! I will NEVER go back to eating unhealthy food. If two weeks of healthy lifestyle is making me feel so good, I cannot wait to see how I feel after months, especially when I add exercise to my life as well.

Good habits can be as addictive as bad habits!

Life is a Beach!

This is Vanderbilt Beach in Naples (Florida). It is one of the best beaches in USA and National University of Medical Sciences (USA) mailing address (2430 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples) is at the road that ends in this beach!

As my student Nicholas Zancai said once "I like to work anywhere that has the word beach in the address!" :)
