Massage Therapist from Romania

OMG, Dr. Pourgol. I've watched your lecture about the power of self suggestion. I learned new things about the functioning of conscious and subconscious minds, but also laughed so hard tears ran down my face. I enjoy studying so much. I can't wait to wake up every morning and turn on my laptop.

You already inspire me on so many levels I look forward to getting to know you better and starting the program. If I thought I was excited to study osteopathy before, now I am 100% convinced that this is what I would like to do for the rest of my life.

I look forward to starting the class in September. I wish you a pleasant evening!

The above post was from my student Alina Turturica, a massage therapist from Romania who is attending the National Academy of Osteopathy campus based osteopathy program this coming September 2017.

Osteopathy for Chiropractors

Congratulations goes to our alumnus, chiropractor Dr Paul Berard (from Vermont, USA) for successfully completing the bachelor of science in osteopathy program of National University of Medical Sciences.

I am honoured to have Dr Berard study with us. As I have studied chiropractic myself before becoming a manual osteopath, I highly value having doctors of chiropractic as alumni.

My Student Working in Hospital

My 2nd Student Working in a Hospital

I have many students working in hospitals as physiotherapists & physicians. However until now just had one student who was working as an osteopath in a hospital in UAE. Now I found out another student, Stéphane Laporte, DOMP, DO (a graduate of National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) & National Academy of Osteopathy) has secured a position as an osteopath in Vietnam. I met Stephane in Madrid during our practical classes there. I am so proud of him.

This is an email I received from him today:

This email is to send you a heartfelt thank you for your guidance in the field of Osteopathy. Thanks to you and your education, I am now working in a major JCI accredited hospital in the physical therapy and rehabilitation department. It's a great experience, working in a team of therapists. This is of course the very beginning, and I look forward to grow fast in personal development and to apply the lessons from the NAO & NUMSS business lectures."
Stéphane.

I Love You All!

I have so much love for all of you. I wish you all the best. I wish you get whatever your heart desires.

I am the First Canadian to Own a University in USA!

I cannot believe how blessed I am to own the first and only manual osteopathy university in the states. And to become the only Canadian in history to own a university in the United States of America!

This is all thanks to you, my students, faculty and staff who supported me every step of the way. Without your help and love I could not have overcome all the obstacles in setting up the National University of Medical Sciences (USA) in Naples, Florida!

Whispers of the Water

Moments when I stand before water, it seems to whisper in my ears: Shahin, choose the simple things in life and seek pleasure in nature’s simple beauty. The water tells me that life and living is filled with joy!

A letter from one of our students in Mexico

Dear Dr. Pourgol
I first want to thank you for the great lectures the school has. I've passed through other Osteopathy schools and none of them have taught me how to become a real osteopath as this school does.
I live in México City, single mom of two boys, and osteopathy has become very important to me, a way of life.
I'm very proud to be part of the best osteopaths in the world.
Sincerely,
Astrid Klee

Backyard Osteopathy!

It is nice to see my students practicing osteopathy outside in such beautiful weather.
Good job Christina! I am proud of you! :)

Understanding & Knowing

There is a big difference between understanding and knowing. You can know a lot about a subject and not really understand it. I make sure my students understand the subjects I teach.
A teacher should give something to students to take home to think about beside homework. I make sure my students have plenty to think about when they leave school! :)
