This simple technique helps you get what you want!

Many people wish for what they want, a new house, car, vacation, etc. However for most people this remains at the wish level as they do not work on getting what they wish for.

If you really want to make your wish come true follow this simple technique by opening a bank account and depositing 10% of your paycheck into it on regular basis.

Research shows that saving 10% of your paycheck will not be noticeable in your life. However this “act”, this action you take by saving your money is one of the most powerful motivators to help you get what you want.

What you focus on grows and by focusing on saving your money towards reaching your goal, you bring your goal and what you want to reality even though the money you save may not be enough initially to pay for what you want it brings about a change in your life that helps you get what you want.

I have seen many who realized their dreams by taking this simple action. Do this to turn I wish into I have!

Why do I teach business management to my students?

I teach business management because I want my students to make more money!

A recent research published in 2017 shows that money surpassed divorce, health and death concerns as the number one cause of stress for the Americans!

Other research shows that you need an annual income of at least $75,000 in North America to have a comfortable, happy and healthy life. Any income less than that makes you die faster, get more divorce and suffer more stress than those who make $75,000 per year or more.

I cannot comprehend in good conscious why health & medical schools do not teach the basics of business management to their students. It is a known fact that those who know more about business management make more money in their practices. And making more money will help these health professionals live longer and lead a happier life (as another research published last week showed that money indeed buys happiness specially when it is used to save time).

I personally feel it is the ethical duty of a school to make sure its students are well versed in all things related to business management.

We teach everything we know about business to our students. This is one of the main reasons why we graduate successful manual osteopaths.

Use Money to Buy Happiness

I have said it over and over that money indeed buys happiness, and research has shown this to be true numerous times.

In a recent joint study done by researchers at Harvard University (USA) & the University of British Columbia (Canada) it was shown that money indeed buys happiness!

Of course some happiness is short term, such as when you buy material objects. And some are long term, when you buy experience (such as vacationing).

However from all people who use money to buy happiness the most satisfied and the happiest were the ones who used money to save time.

The new study shows that only a few people actually spend money this way to save time. However those who do so are the happiest.

Best happiness is to pay someone else to do your chores. This frees up your time to do whatever you wish. So learn to delegate. Pay others to do parts of your job. And try not to do everything by yourself. Research shows you will be a lot happier this way.

Physiotherapist / Osteopath from Malaysia writes about NAO

To become successful you must learn how to manage your business effectively. That is why we teach our students everything we know about business. The result is that we graduate successful manual osteopaths. Our business management & life improvement lectures are quite popular with our students.

Physiotherapist Renee Soong traveled all the way from Malaysia to attend the on-campus Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (D.O.M.P.) program of NAO in Toronto and we are so grateful for her dedication to study osteopathy. Here is part of the post she published about her education at NAO.

"After enrolling at National Academy of Osteopathy, I was amazed by the teaching method conducted by NAO which is entirely different compared to conventional method of teaching.
Therefore, it is easier to learn most of the subjects, especially practical sessions than learning in other learning institutions.
What I learnt the most from NAO is the life philosophies and business ideas shared by Dr Pourgol. This makes NAO unique compare to other institutions."

This letter made me so happy!

Business Management & Self Improvement in Osteopathic Education

We offer more than osteopathic education. We graduate successful manual osteopaths because we teach them everything we know about business and self improvement. Here is an email received from one of my National Academy of Osteopathy D.O.M.P. students in Toronto.

Hi Dr. Pourgol,
When I signed up to study Osteopathy through online studies I had no idea that I would gain more than Osteopathy knowledge. Ever since I watched the Schultz hour lecture in the Business management module my life has never been the same. I am a single mother of 3 and work in a hectic health setting and now deliberately take time every week to myself to relax and allow my Frontal Cortex to work. This has helped me not only to visualize how I want to pursue my career as a Manual Osteopath after graduation but also helped me put my personal life into perspective.
I will never forget this lecture and appreciate all you do to inspire us to think bigger than our current limitations.
Thanks,
Vez Nkomo

https://nationalacademyofosteopathy.blogspot.ca/2017/07/registered-massage-therapist-rachel-orr.html

..............Dr. Shahin Pourgol loves osteopathy and wants you to take the program in its entirety in a condensed time frame so you can get out and work and share Osteopathy with the world.  It's a genius concept and I am so grateful.  Without his forward thinking I would have missed out on a profession I have so deeply found meaning and success in!

Thank you Dr. Pourgol from the bottom of my heart.  Your passion and forward thinking have allowed so many of us to gain this knowledge and make you proud...............

The wisdom of organized simplicity

Nothing makes a teacher happier than seeing his lessons are useful to students.
I am blessed to have so many students who love me, love what I teach and how I teach. This is an email I received today from dermatologist Dr. Daria who is a part time student of National Academy of Osteopathy at the York University Heights campus of NAO in Toronto.

Thank you Dr. P,

You are one of the few teachers in Canada who is able to actually teach students something useful, which they can further apply in their professional lives. This makes students always remember you with gratitude in their hearts.

You can't imagine how much I appreciate your approach to education; I call it "the wisdom of organized simplicity". If a person can make complicated subjects simple - he is a master, you are the true master of wisdom in the field of osteopathic education.
Did I mention that you are the best teacher? I will continue to follow your insights …they are great. You have a good influence on me, thank you!!!

The Last Resort

There is a recent study done by University of Texas and published in the Journal of AOA (you can find the link to the research at my Facebook page; Osteopathy Related Research & Science). The research was done on 500 patients, showed that with 6 (I am not joking, JUST 6) osteopathic treatments (once per week for 6 weeks), over 50% of these patients recovered from chronic low back pain and long term disability!!!! This is like miracle. Most cases manual osteopaths treat are cases that patients for years had treatments by other health professionals with no success. That is why we have a patient loyalty rate of 98% (more than any other health professionals in Canada). Our ability to treat chronic pain is what makes manual osteopaths so in demands that waiting lists of 6 months to a year is not unheard of.
